spring '10 rtw collection

i have to applaud John Galliano for a job well done with his spring rtw collection. i've always been concerned as to what happened to feminine glamour and here is my answer! i could not be happier with the makeup, the hair, the skin and the beautiful feminine detailing that he presented on the runway. i can see so many different eras and female icons in this collection yet it all ties together perfectly. the lingerie-esque feel doesn't turn me off either because i still see a strong sense of wearability here. personally, i'm already brainstorming about ways to mix lace and sheer fabrics in layers for a sensible off the runway look and let's be honest, the socks paired with a strong heel make a statement. we've seen it before but here it adds a youthful vibe while ultimately being sexy and womanly. i'd also like to say that while i am biased towards a more simpler color palette, Galliano's bright pinks, reds, purples and oranges made this collection ultimately elaborate and brilliant! the lace, the femininity, the dior! thanks for bringing back the glamour John, it's a much needed breath of fresh air.
